American Bison (American Buffalo) are an extremely resilient animal and are iconic to North America. In fact, American Bison once roamed what is now West Virginia. We fell in love with American Bison first because we loved the flavor of the meat and secondly because it is extraordinarily healthy!

WHY PASTURE RAISED POULTRY?
Who doesn’t like fried chicken on a summer day? We have always loved a tasty chicken but finding a chicken from the grocery store with flavor was a challenge . Additionally, there are many “buzz” words used in the industry to distract the consumer of how the chicken is truly raised. Mountain State Poultry is moved to fresh grass daily to allow for supplemental foraging. We feed our chickens Non-GMO chick feed and provide fresh water daily. In fact, we even provide a splash tub for the chickens so they can stay cool during hot summer days in West Virginia.
